This horn plays, feels, and sounds like a Mark VI tenor should. It isn't quite as focused and rich-sounding as many earlier VIs, but it is damn close, and it is being sold for half the price.
It had a minor neck pull-down long before I sold it, as pictured.
We sold this about 10 years ago to a local professional player. Before selling it, we did a full mechanical overhaul with Pisoni Pro Pads and Reso Tone custom resos ($1800 overhaul). One of the reasons I like these Pisoni Pads so much is that they hold up.
I've done a couple C.O.A.s through the years and replaced the palm key pads and the Eb key pad but other than that, it's been playing remarkably well ever since we sold it. A great overhaul should hold up at least as well as a brand new Selmer, and this one does just that.
It still gets a 7.0 Mag reading after a decade of being played hard. That is far tighter than any factory pad work. Serial Number M.225XXX
