H Couf Superba 1 Tenor Sax. Just through our shop where it was restored and overhauled. All new pads, silencers, and neck cork.
The H. Couf Superba I tenor saxophone was a professional-level horn made in the 1970s–1980s, designed by Herbert Couf (a Detroit-based musician and music dealer) and manufactured by Julius Keilwerth in Germany. The Superba I featured rolled tone holes, a high F# key, and a warm, rich tone typical of Keilwerth saxes of that era. It’s highly regarded for its solid build quality, dark sound, and excellent intonation, making it a sought-after vintage sax among players today.
